On April 4th the SIGIS Board of Directors ratified new standards and certification policies in support of the Dodd Frank Wall Street Reform Act's network routing requirements.  The standards will allow industry participants to use the SIGIS's standards on PIN networks as an option in meeting the new regulatory requirements.  With the revised standards, SIGIS will require all networks using the SIGIS standard to seek certification.  This will be completed in two parts:

• Existing SIGIS Signature Networks completed the Network Certification Self-Assessment Form and are certified as of June 6, 2012.
• PIN networks and any additional signature networks will be able to start the certification process on June 8, 2012. The certification process will be available online at www.sig-is.org.
